About Jade Christie-Maples, Founder
Whether I'm working with healthcare systems or individual and families, my north star is the same: empowering people to navigate complex systems, discover their full potential, and create meaningful change for themselves and their communities.
With over 13 years of experience in healthcare policy and consulting, I've intentionally pivoted my work toward serving community and making healthcare more accessible to those who need it most. I specialize in providing strategic advisory services to healthcare organizations, with a focus on policy analysis, market strategy design, and product development that centers equity and addresses the real barriers people face in accessing care. I specialize in serving clients in government-sponsored lines of business, including Medicaid managed care, to enhance market strategies and ensure regulatory compliance in a complex regulatory landscape. My areas of expertise include network and mLTSS network design, provider engagement and provider data management, social drivers of health (SDOH), health equity, long-term services and supports and home and community-based services (including serving individuals with IDD and TBI), and care coordination.
As an independent consultant, my mission is rooted in my own journey as a mom—navigating systems that weren't built with families in mind taught me firsthand how healthcare can either support or fail the people it's meant to serve. This personal evolution fuels my commitment to barriers to care in my community and helping individuals and families sift through the complexities of health insurance by extending my experience in the form of education, navigation support and advocacy.
Prior to starting WellNorth Consulting, I held positions at several consulting firms, including HealthScape Advisors, Chartis, and The Lewin Group. My previous work included leading current state assessments, market and competitive landscape assessments, pre-release strategy design to address current functional gaps and respond to emerging market priorities, and proposal development for national and regional Medicaid managed care organizations, healthcare product organizations, HCBS providers, and non-profits.
I hold a Master of Public Health, Health Policy from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Vermont.
Building on my own personal journey, I'm deeply passionate about holding space for other moms through life coaching, helping them reclaim agency in their personal and professional lives. This incredibly personal journey deserves community, one I aim to foster.
I live in Central VT with my husband, three girls, dog and cat. As my oldest says, we are “forest people.” When I’m not at work, I’m enjoying time with my family, baking muffins, or failing to keep up with my gardens.
